Just like that 2012 was over. So much for that 'end of the world' scare. I never bought any of that, to be honest.
Anyway, funny how my last post was about me still waiting, looking for work. Guess what? I did get one...and I am still here. A year and a half strong! Ha!
I spent a good part of 2012 working in the dark...literally! Working in night shift was quite an experience. I'm not kidding when I tell you I had to rework on my people-interaction skills every time I step back into the daylight. Heck, even a simple "Hello" from a colleague made me want to utter, "Geez don't smother me, please?" Yeah, weird like that.
But it really was a good year for me. I tried lots of things for the first time, failed in few of them, made a bunch of new friends, got my heart broken, travelled to several places, had a challenging time at work, got recognized.
Those were just a few, really. That year sure had lots of tricks in its sleeves.
So thank you very much 2012!

Sigh...
And so I got a job offer a last!
But I declined it :(
I am hoping to hear from the companies that I prefer and believe my capabilities are more aligned it.

The Wait
Two weeks down the drain and I am still where I was...still waiting. Well I've had a couple more interviews with several companies but nothing concrete so far. I just hope I get some good news this week.
Anyway, as I try to keep myself not stagnant, I yet again learned a few dishes. Pan-fried salmon and chicken adobo. Nothing top-level, but still...skill acquired! :D Always forget to take pictures, tsk. Di bale, next time!

KORE GA CHANSU!
And so I had my first interview yesterday. It went well I guess, not to mention it was uber quick. The interviewer had 2 questions and I had like 6 in return. Yeah, we could have switched places haha! I really hope I get this one as I like the company and the location.
Anyway, last week I made french toasts and today I cooked chicken curry, both for the first time. They both could use little improvements but I'm doing pretty good for someone who only knows how to fry food ;) HA! Iron Chef watch out!

Good and Bad
A mix of good and not-so-good news lately. Bad news is I still haven't scored a single interview and it has been a month already! Good news is we were able to extend my stay to 89 days. My mom on the other hand got a 5 year long term visit pass! Wow! All thanks to my brother :)
Yet another downside to that is I won't be able to join our much anticipated family trip in the Philippines. They actually went back home yesterday and I think I am starting to understand that feeling of being away from "everything".
But the show must go on. I'm here on a mission...and I will definitely accomplish it. I can't thank everyone enough for being so positive and supportive especially Gianne. Being able to talk to her daily is the best I can get for now. But it definitely helps a lot. Thanks gummy! :*

Ahoy there!
It's been raining for 8 straight days now. I am stuck inside this room and I really can't do anything much but to get on with my "hunt". Not that I actually have anything else to do that is more important but to be able to go outside and take a breather or two would be nice.
Anyway, hey I am blogging again! I must keep this up because the days flies so darn fast here, I don't know why. It's easy to forget what happened yesterday, the day before that, last week even! So there...I should do this more often.
Hmm, I'm thinking of re-visiting my Hangul lessons one of these days. That way I can finally become fluent in another language and be able to apply for a job requiring such OR ,on a less serious note, so that I can mingle with the Korean SC2 pros and watch SNSD without the subs! Haha!
Yeaaah, it's been a while! :)
